Styled Shoot: Team Glamorous | Byron Bay Bridal Showcase | Newrybar Downs

We were so thrilled to be involved in the Byron Bay Bridal Showcase earlier this year and could not have hoped for a more amazing collaboration.

The showcase is an incredibly opportunity for like-minded industry professionals to come together and bring their unique skills to the table to create something pretty special. Our dream team was selected to work with the concept of ‘A Glamorous Affair’ for our styled shoot in the lead up to the day, and so Team Glam was born.

The team at Little Gray Station provided the vision and styling direction for the shoot, and our immensely talented industry friends helped to bring this vision to life.

Designed for the chic and sophisticated bride, we were inspired by a striking colour palette of black and gold contrasted with vibrant greenery. Luxury, elegance and opulence resonate throughout this styled shoot.

We chose to create three styled spaces for the shoot including a ceremony, outdoor reception table and cocktail area.

Framed by the towering palm trees of private estate Newrybar Downs, we created an intimate ceremony set up using bamboo furniture and vivid green ferns. Black fabric drapes asymmetrically across the arbour, creating a striking feature.

Our glamorous cocktail setting was stylish and tasteful, set beneath a canopy of festoon lighting. Wild foliage arrangements in ornate votives contrast against the black clothed dry bars, creating an ambient space for guests to indulge in a crystal cut glass of champagne. The stunning black and gold cake becomes the focus of the bar, the detailed geometric design reflected in the vases of hand cut confetti.

The colour palette of our table setting was bold and daring, long tables dressed in black linen with strong accents of white and gold. Arrangements of ferns and feathers provide a contrast of colour and texture. Opulent gold décor lined the table while the crisp, bold text of the stationery reflected the sophistication of the setting.

This shoot first appeared on White Magazine and we hope it is a inspiration to those brides wanting something a little more elegant and refined for their day. Thank you to our incredible team who made this shoot so special!

Styled Shoot: Party With Lenzo | Avalon Lea | Myocum Byron Bay

Little Gray Station recently had the pleasure of working on a styled shoot for the launch of PARTY WITH LENZO, a new online wedding & event platform.

Elleni Pearce, the creative force behind Party with Lenzo, came to us with a brief for the shoot; Elleni’s inspiration for the shoot was to be light, colourful, fun and above all – FRESH.

The LGS styling team put forward a vision board that included bold colours of turquoise and grapefruit, tropical blooms, patterns, prints, and natural textures. Bright colours often seem to be avoided at weddings and we wanted to demonstrate how a tropical theme can be executed and embraced in a sophisticated way!

We chose to style four focus areas for the shoot including a outdoor reception table; ceremony; mimosa bar and cocktail lounge area.

For the reception table we dressed our tables in natural cloth, incorporating turquoise linen napkins and patterned table runners to create the base of our tablescape. Beautiful bright floral & palm arrangements tied in perfectly with our colourful stationery. Natural elements including wooden bentwood chairsrattan charger plates and wooden place tags added another element of depth to the table.

The mimosa bar was a fun way to incorporate a colourful & interesting background for the table settings, filled with tropical chopped fruit, cocktails and of course THAT cake! White cane lounge furniture paired with bamboo side tables created a relaxed, contemporary seating area. A white VJ panelled wall adorned with a bright floral installation was the perfect ceremony backdrop and looked stunning against the picturesque setting of Avalon Lea.

We were so lucky to work with an absolute dream team of incredible suppliers who helped bring our vision of a fresh and fun shoot to life, captured beautifully by Figtree Pictures Wedding Photography. We hope you love the images as much as we do!

Styled Shoot: Twine Mag Seaside Shoot | Hastings Point | Byron Loves Fawn

One of our favourite collaborations would have to be this Seaside Inspired shoot we created for Twine Mag earlier this year, photographed by the incredibly talented Byron Loves Fawn.

We are so blessed to live alongside the ocean, and took advantage of our amazing coastal location for the shoot. We wanted to break away from the stereotypical concept of a “beach” wedding, embracing this theme in a more subtle and understated way. We were inspired by a neutral colour palette of muted grays and greens, soft flowing tulle, crisp white tableware and beautiful brass silver details. We crossed our fingers for a moody, overcast day and our prayers were answered with a gray and stormy sky that set the tone for the entire shoot.

We love the ethereal feeling created by the wispy tulle linen spilling over the table and into the sand. Cloudy seafoam bottles with melted candle wax were scattered down the table, interspersed between the flowing foliage garland. Crystal cut glassware and silver cutlery tied with velvet ribbon create a feeling of elegance and luxury.

Wooden plinths with cascading floral arrangements framed our ceremony set up, with glass hurricane lanterns creating a glowing, candlelit aisle. Champagne and oysters served on tarnished silver platters adorned our white and timber bar.

We love this dreamy, elegant setting by the sea and hope we encourage more brides to take inspiration from their coastal surroundings. Beach weddings can be beautiful!
